StudyBays Me – In the PISA study it assumed that literacy is defined as the ability to understand, use, processing and use of the information contained in written texts in order to achieve specific goals, deepen student’s knowledge and potential and to participate in society.

Different talents, and not only those mathematical and linguistic … Because is not that the Polish school, you can not do that! Often, however, that manages to tap the potential of cooperation of students and teachers. This is evidenced by the various international competitions in which teams of Polish pupils are huge successes. Example of April 2013 – team of high school students from Krakow and Andrychowa won the international competition of miniature construction and launching of satellites of the European Space Agency (ESA). Polish students regularly win international Olympiads in mathematics and information technology. So we can not teach cooperation, but why only a fraction of a percent of the student population? The rest does not deserve? Tools for this are – project method is versatile and ready for use at every stage of education and in every subject. It would be even harder to spread in primary and secondary. But most importantly – must change attitude to the achievements in education. Very disturbing in stimulating cooperation in the school setting for testing – unfortunately, officials and parents see this as the most important goal of school education (to pass the exam as the best high school and a high school diploma), and teachers, even those innovative and avant-garde, rarely remain that pressure. Added to this is not uncommon at all for the lack of management support new ways of working – here more often than developing cooperation and the stimulation of creativity count the results of exams (because supposedly testify to the high school level …). Something with this approach you need to do if we want students and graduates of Polish schools actually were successful https://studybays.me/ in academic life and economic … (Note about the author: Marcin Polak is the creator and editor of Edunews.pl, is engaged in education and social communication, realizing commercial and social projects on a national and international level. Send (); }); / ** / OECD presented the results of the students’ Students On Line “as part of the Program of International Student Assessment, or PISA 2009 were examined in the ability to use the Internet. The results of Polish students can specify briefly: kl @ pa. Worse result than us among EU countries reported only Austrian students. In short – below the average for OECD countries recorded results in categories such as the ability to understand the digital content (464 points, with the average for the OECD at the level of 499 points!) And the ability to search for (relevant) information on the web (42 points compared to the average OECD level 46.3 – worse than here, our students are only young Hungarians). From the OECD study shows that in the homes of computers used 92.1% of the students (this is almost exactly the average for the OECD), but in schools, only 60.6% (for a variety worst result among the European OECD countries !, with the average at 74.2%). In the PISA study it assumed that literacy is defined as the ability to understand, use, processing and use of the information contained in written texts in order to achieve specific goals, deepen student’s knowledge and potential and to participate in society. This applies both to the texts printed and electronic. Unfortunately, the fourth Polish teenagers can not cope completely with the Internet. It is also good with the best – the highest results are achieved only 3% of Polish students (for comparison – 17% in South Korea, New Zealand and Australia, where the results were the best). As the authors explain the report does not mean that those students nothing at all can the Internet do – but it should be assumed that they will not be able to deal, they deal with searching for resources related to education, work, or from participation in the information society. I think it’s grim news at the beginning of the Polish Presidency, but also for the Ministry of Education and the Institute for Educational Research, which even at the beginning of June boasted the results of education in Poland. Especially that the results come from the same source, which was cited as evidence of the great successes of the Polish school. Oh, I do not think they will come to us from other countries, experts and “ask what happened in this Poland that her students have such fantastic results” (a fragment of a statement recorded during the Congress of Polish Education). As bad results Polish youth means that perhaps it’s time to give the green light to schools ICT. The use of ICT in Polish schools should cease to be an experiment, and it should become mainstream. Time to end the closure of key computer labs in schools, banning the use of cell meaningless, smartphones and any other mobile devices, WiFi reserved for the headmaster and some teachers. The change should take place primarily at the level of schools and teaching practices. But it is also a great challenge for the Ministry of Education and the Minister of Education: to provide high-speed internet in schools (let’s finish with statements like “the internet in schools is” because it is a mere sham and true). Without the Internet at school and teachers who will be able to teach classes on effective and purposeful navigate the internet, rather we do not improve the results. You have to seriously start right information and media education in Polish schools. The OECD report is available here (PDF). Send (); }); / ** / In November this year. CBOS conducted an interesting study – “Poles of the proposed changes in the education system.” 79% of respondents believe that children should start school at the age of 7 years. Only 16% in favor of lowering the age of the school year. Even if you were asked the question may suggest an answer – “whether school education in Poland, as in most European countries, should begin from 6 years of age” – the percentage of positive answers was only 40%, while half of the respondents were against. I wonder if such a high percentage of people reluctant to lowering the school age results from the actual beliefs, or whether it is rather due to insufficient information about the purpose and manner of implementation of the reform. On the basis of these data residual (study report will be published soon) can rather assume that more information about the assumptions of the reform did not reach the persons concerned and hence so much resistance to change. Its weight definitely have a political friction and disunity among the major political parties at the direction of changes in the Polish edukacji.Ogromna majority of respondents – because 68% – is in favor of a 5-year olds to ensure the possibility of free preschool education. In contrast, only 39% of respondents in favor of a pre-requirement for a 5-year-olds, 54% preclude forced training toddlers. Interesting are also the assessment of the quality of education in Polish schools. Respondents usually have a good reputation on the quality of teaching in public schools – 66% of respondents assesses well the education in primary and secondary school, 58% in secondary and 49% in vocational schools. The low level of education in primary and secondary school are convinced 21% of respondents, 25% in secondary schools, vocational schools 24%. These results are quite surprising. Given the critical opinions on the quality of students’ education, as well as reports indicating a lack of preparation of students to the labor market, such assessments may be surprised. Perhaps this is a topic for a study that would show a deeper evaluation of the system of education among the representatives of the various groups involved in the education process. / ** / jQuery (document) .ready (function ($) {jac_init ();}); var JACommentConfig = {jac_base_url: ‘/ component / jacomment /’ SITEURL: ‘/ component / jacomment /? tmpl = component & view = comments’, minLengthComment:’ 10 ‘, errorMinLength:’ Your comment is too short. ‘, maxLengthComment’ 5000 ‘, errorMaxLength:’ Your comment is too long. ‘isEnableAutoexpanding:’ 1 ‘, dateASC’ recent comments at the top ‘, dateDESC’ Latest comment in bottom ‘, votedASC:’ Most voted on top ‘, votedDESC’ Most voted in bottom ‘, strLogin:’ Login ‘, isEnableBBCode:’ 1 ‘, isEnableCharacterCounter:’ 0 ‘, isEnableLocationDetection:’ 0 ‘, commentFormPosition:’ 1 ‘, hdCurrentComment: 0, contentoption’ com_content ‘ContentID’ 584 ‘, commenttype:’ 1 ‘, jacomentUrl’ https://edunews.pl/9-mamblog/edublogs/584-kiedy-do-szkoly-jak-oceniamy-poziom-nauczania ‘contenttitle:’ When the school?
